The Friends of McBean Park first convened in 2015 and became a 501(c)3 in 2017, following a major stadium renovation that occurred in 2016. Original board members were mostly lifelong residents of Lincoln, including Kris Wyatt, Larry Wyatt, Mindy Miller, Elizabeth Jansen, Susan Cope, and Linda Stackpoole.
These residents recognized the importance of McBean Park as a community gem. The organization’s original mission was to rebuild, rejuvenate, and restore McBean Park.
Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Matt Lundgren graduated with a Public Management degree from Northern Arizona University. Following internships with the Cincinnati Reds and Tucson Padres, he joined the Pacific Coast League Office in Round Rock, Texas.
In 2014, Matt moved to Sacramento where he joined the Sacramento River Cats. In 2015, Matt served as the General Manager for the Marysville Gold Sox and, in 2016, he helped run the Sacramento Stealth. He joined the Potters for their first season in Lincoln in 2017 as General Manager and joined the board of the Lincoln Potters in 2019.
Matt is now the President and General Manager of the Lincoln Potters Baseball Club. He resides in Lincoln with his wife, Randi, and their two young boys.

Jan retired from a 42-year banking career in 2015 as a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank. She worked in the International Division for the majority of her career as a Project Manager and Manager of the Technology Division. She also worked for a short while with Union Bank of California as a Project Manager. Since her retirement, Jan has been volunteering with several community and school organizations. Jan joined the Board in 2025.
Isabel has been actively engaged in park planning for a number of years. She started her career in the early 2000s as an economic consultant. During her more than 20 years in that field, Isabel has analyzed the economic feasibility of developing, operating, maintaining, and enhancing a variety of local, regional, and state parks and recreation facilities.
Isabel, a native of Northern California, is an owner and Board Secretary for the Lincoln Potters Baseball Club. She is also the President of the Domeyko Taylor Holding Company, a firm that is actively reinvesting in Downtown Lincoln, including the new mixed-use project, Cerámica, located caddy-corner from City Hall that will contain a new headquarters for the Lincoln Potters, other small offices, and seven residential apartments.
Isabel joined the Board in 2023.
Kris moved to Lincoln over 50 years ago to be with her husband, Larry, in his hometown. They raised two daughters in rural Lincoln. Kris completed her teaching credential in 1972. Her first teaching job was at Glen Edwards School and then two years later moved to Lincoln High School, where she completed 37 years of teaching, counseling and coaching. Kris retired in 2009, after which she successfully ran for a seat on the WPUSD school board; she served on the school board for the following 12 years.
Kris remains committed to Lincoln’s youth and larger community. She served on the Lincoln Community Foundation board for 16 years, she has been a Rotarian for 28 years, (including serving as the President in 1995-96 and has been the youth services chair for all 28 years). She and Larry also started the Friends of McBean Park in 2016 in hopes of revitalizing, rebuilding and restoring McBean Park. Kris is currently a Chamber of Commerce member, volunteers for the Lincoln Potters, and serves on the LPAL board and the Coalition of Auburn Lincoln Youth (CALY).
Kris was a founding member of Friends, serving on the board since 2017.
Angie is a Media owner and executive with a 25+ year career in broadcast, digital, events, and related marketing/advertising fields. Her experience includes broadcast station ownership, responsibility for client and employee contracts, raising of diversity in the workplace, and establishing creativity, community service, success, and worker satisfaction in the workplace environment, with overall mission of growth for company, clients, and employees.
In addition to being a known Broadcast leader and Hispanic media expert, Angie is a mentor and active community leader. She has served as a mentor for the Mildred Carter Mentorship Program and the Sierra College Puente Program. She has served as a City of Lincoln Commissioner for redistricting and helps raise funds for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Girl Scouts After School Program in Title 1 schools. She previously served as an Advisory Board Member for US Bank.
Angie has been married for 41 years and has three adult children and twin grandsons. Angie is a lifelong Lincoln resident.
Angie joined the Board in 2024.
A resident of Lincoln since 2007, Shannon has been actively involved in our local baseball community. She is the Co-Founder of Lincoln Lightning Travel Ball, a middle school boys baseball team. She manages social media, as well as scheduling and communications for Lincoln Lightning. Shannon also served as a Board Member for Lincoln Little League from 2021 to 2023; during her tenure with Little League, she was responsible for the league’s social media campaign to advertise events, promote sponsorships and build a strong on-line following. She also served as co-tournament director for the 11u and 12u all-star tournaments.
Shannon is an experienced middle school teacher/administrator and active substitute teacher for the Western Placer Unified School District. She has a master’s degree in Education from CSU Stanislaus and a Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University.
Shannon joined the Board in 2025.
Melissa and her family have been residents of Lincoln since 2017. Her son plays in Lincoln Little League, and she served on the league board in 2023. Melissa, her husband, and son have been a Lincoln Potters host family since 2020. It’s one of their favorite things about Lincoln.
When not at the ballpark, Melissa is a working mom; she is an administrator in an accounting practice, and the outreach coordinator for her son’s school. She enjoys volunteering, knitting, and of course watching baseball.
Melissa joined the Board in 2025.
Greg is the current elected Treasurer for the City of Lincoln. Originally from the Bay Area, Greg worked in law enforcement and corporate security, before retiring and moving to Lincoln. Growing up a passionate sports fan, Greg learned the importance of sports and how local sports can bring a community together. A graduate of Leadership Lincoln, Greg is a dedicated community volunteer serving on the board of the Lincoln Community Foundation and is Past–President of the Rotary Club of Lincoln. Greg earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Saint Mary’s College and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University.
Greg and his wife Sarah have been married since 1996 and live in Sun City Lincoln Hills with their two Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Nova and Quincy. Greg joined the Board in 2025.
Marsha is a Lincoln native as is her husband, Mark, their children, Melody and Jared, and their granddaughters Addie and Ella. Marsha worked at Western Placer Unified School District and later at Eureka Union School District where she was a curriculum clerk and later a Moderate to Severe Special Needs Aid, retiring after 33 years in Education. Mark and Marsha are now enjoying ranch life on the Stevens ranch, raising custom beef with their Cow/Calf operation.
Marsha was a Volunteer Fire Captain/EMT for 15 years for the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department, a 4-H beef leader, and has been a member of the Placer Nevada and California Cattlewomen’s associations for over 40 years.
McBean Park Stadium is special to her family, from Mark’s dad Leroy (who played for the Potters) to granddaughters Addie and Ella, who have spent many days playing and attending baseball games in this special stadium. Marsha joined the Board in 2025.
